Ultimate Skills
A hero's most powerful ability, often fight-changing, unlocked at Boon level 6.
What are Ultimate Skills?
Ultimates (default key 4) are the most threatening abilities, unlocked at Boon level 6 (~3600 souls). They have long cooldowns but fight-changing effects. Each ultimate can also be upgraded with 1 / 2 / 5 Ability Points to improve damage, radius, or add effects.
Mechanics
Unlock: Boon level 6, around 3600 souls β the last of the four ability slots.
High cooldown, high impact: cooldowns are usually 90-150 seconds, but can swing fights.
Upgradable: 1 / 2 / 5 Ability Points improve damage, radius, duration, or add effects.
Many types: AOE control, single-target execute, team buff, global strike, channeled area denial.
Counterable: most ultimates can still be stunned, silenced, or displaced; timing is key.
Resource management: ultimates do not cost souls, but their long cooldowns mean you must plan around them.
Hero Examples
Abrams β Seismic Impact
Tank
Abrams leaps and chooses a landing spot, damaging and stunning all enemies in the radius. It is a massive engage or counter-initiate that chains off Shoulder Charge wall stuns.
Seven β Storm Cloud
Mage
Seven summons a storm cloud that follows him and continuously damages enemies inside. Upgrades can increase radius or duration, making it a teamfight zoning tool.
Haze β Bullet Dance
Assassin
Haze spins in place, spraying bullets around her and stacking her Fixation passive. Devastating when cast on a slept target or in a clustered teamfight.
Dynamo β Singularity
Support
Dynamo channels a black hole that pulls enemies in and knocks them up at the end. One of the strongest teamfight controls, especially in choke points with burst teammates.
Vindicta β Assassinate
Marksman
Vindicta locks onto an enemy hero with her sniper rifle and fires a high-damage shot after a channel. Low-health targets can be executed, and the ultimate has global range.
Tips
- β’Confirm enemy hard cc is down before committing, or your ultimate can be stunned/silenced.
- β’Do not hesitate to use ultimates to defend base or contest Mid-Boss / Rejuvenator.
- β’Watch the minimap: Vindicta's Assassinate can globally finish low-health enemies.
- β’Ultimates are stronger in choke points: Dynamo Singularity and Seven Storm Cloud shine in lanes or the Mid-Boss pit.
- β’You do not always need the 5-point ultimate upgrade; early 1- or 2-point upgrades can be very efficient.
