Equipment Build Guide: From Economy Curve to Matchups
After testing many matches, here is a general item-building framework that fits most heroes and helps you spend Souls efficiently.
Economy Curve Dictates Build Order
Item prices are tightly linked to Soul income. You start with 500 Souls, the first wave gives about 200β300, and the first Soul Urn fight is usually the turning point for your first major item.
If you expect early skirmishes, buy small tier-1 Weapon/Vitality pieces for immediate power. If you are farming freely, save for a tier-2 core item and snowball the advantage.
How to Choose the Three Item Categories
Weapon suits heroes that rely on basic attacks, such as Vindicta, McGinnis, and Haze, giving bullet damage, fire rate, and magazine size.
Vitality is mandatory for tanks and frontliners and also helps any hero needing more forgiveness, offering health, armor, regen, and crowd-control reduction.
Spirit empowers abilities, ideal for Seven, Dynamo, and Kelvin, providing ability power, cooldown reduction, and spell lifesteal.
Adapting to Matchups
Facing high burst? Prioritize health and armor from Vitality. Facing heavy crowd control? Consider CC-reduction or purification from Spirit. Enemy healing strong? Buy anti-heal.
Items are not set in stone. Adjust every game based on lane matchup and team needs.
